Christopher had some friends over, and then their moms came round to pick them up. They all stayed for an hour to chat and now I gotta clean up. Can't leave this mess for Carla or she's gonna get mad at me.

Buck. I appreciate what you're trying to do, but I'm not gonna be that guy who starts dating the single moms in the neighborhood. If things don't work out, it's gonna get awkward and Chris is gonna lose a friend. Besides, I'm good with the one kid I got. I don't think I'd be able to handle another. Anyway, I heard from Chimney you did a bunch of odd jobs before you joined the department. He said you were herding cows at one point and swam with sharks. Really?

You know what? He'll probably like that. Maybe next year. He's already going to summer camp and that's a hell of a big step. I don't know what I'm gonna do while he's gone for two whole weeks. I'm definitely gonna miss him.
You've gotta just trust that he's going to have a blast and he's going to miss you too. But you can always do what I do when I don't wanna come home to an empty house. Take more shifts.
I already spoke to Bobby about it. I could use the extra money. And you're always welcomed at our place. I mean, you already have a set of the keys. I know I said it was for emergencies, but whatever. Mi casa, su casa.
I was thinking I'd just stock up on some frozen meals and pop it in the microwave for when I don't get to eat at the station. But if you're cooking, I guess I'm gonna be spoiled. How about in return I get us tickets to the movies or something?

Poker night sounds doable. Going to a party though... I don't know, man. Unless it's another one of those hosted by Bobby and Athena. Partying's not really my scene.

Unless he's doing some research for school. Even then, I'd rather take him to the local library. I just don't trust the world wide web.
