[Alcoholism is truly an unwieldy beast. Comes out at both the best and worst of times. Tony's having the former tonight, but by virtue of losing that line, the idea of when it's time to say no, he'll keep going. He'll keep drinking because it's always about more. It's never one drink. It's never one night. And right now he's incredibly loose and a little more than simply drunk. Tomorrow morning he'll probably find a lot of regret at the end of this tunnel.

But Steve's got the exact right idea. They definitely don't need the synthesize the stuff. They don't need it around- although Tony might make an argument about how if they did, then Steve could get a little tipsy whenever he wanted. And what's so wrong about that? Some of that comes out in a jumbled, muffled mess against Steve's arm until he finally settles just a bit more.

Steve's question, at least, gets a little bit more coherent consideration. As much as he's able, anyway.]

[Since he was this drunk, he means. Thor's got the good stuff, that much is for sure. Stuff that mere mortals definitely shouldn't be drinking. Even in small doses. But even through his theatrics, he does seem to remember one thing about those years. Even living through them in a haze of constant drunken stupor.]
