Erik honestly isn't expecting to have such strong feelings for Charles, either, but there they are, plain as day. But then Charles has to say that, and Erik's smile grows wider and also a little darker in nature.

"All right," he says, reaching up for Charles' face to hold his cheek, and kiss his lips, quick, chaste. "Fine. But only because I want to make sure I have a lot of energy for tonight."
